ABOUT ME
Training and Qualifications
I hold a BACP accredited degree in Integrative Counselling from Greenwich University and I am a registered member of the BACP. The BACP Register is approved and quality assured by the Professional Standards Authority for Health and Social Care:
“The main purpose of the Register is to protect the public and help you find a therapist you can trust. It aims to reassure clients, employers and the general public that a BACP-registered practitioner adheres to high standards of proficiency, professionalism and good practice.”
Background
In addition to private practice, I have counselled staff and students at a large sixth form college. I also worked as a counselling teacher and tutor and I have volunteered as a community and inter-generational mediator.
I hold an honours degree in Law from the University of Cambridge and practised as a solicitor for some years. This gave me an understanding of the business world and the pressures that people face in the workplace, including the difficulties encountered by working mothers and the challenge of achieving a healthy work-life balance.
